Inside sntv - December 2017
Welcome to the latest instalment of Inside sntv
A look back at November
sntv - Dec
Kick starting fan conversations ahead of the Winter Olympics: As the winter sports season began over in the US, we provided exclusive interviews with Top US Olympic skiers and snowboarders at the US Ski & Snowboard Association gala, including Lindsay Vonn on her ambitions for her fourth Olympic Games. We also ensured our clients had an update on preparations and security concerns for the upcoming Games.
Exclusive interviews and complete coverage:
  • Formula One: Over in Brazil we interviewed Red Bull drivers Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo at a promotional event, where they learned the ‘art of foot volley’.
  • World Cup qualifications: We offered complete coverage as the Australian ‘Socceroos’ booked their spot at the World Cup, providing previews, highlights and reaction. We also provided footage of street celebrations from Morocco and Tunisia’s qualification, which were widely picked up by clients.
  • World Cup draw: We gave clients unrivalled access to the draw at the beginning of December. Our crew on the ground provided stories from the FIFA hotel, as well exclusive reaction and soundbites from different countries as they found out who they would be facing in the group stages.
  • Oman Desert Marathon: We were the only news agency to cover this event, providing a rich source of native language soundbites.
Viral of the month
Viral Dec 2017
sntv captured some terrific conversation- generating viral videos in November, which clients are increasingly using to drive traffic across their digital platforms.
Here's our top 3:
3. An amusing air kick by Mainz goalkeeper Robin Zentner in a Bundesliga draw.
2. A temper tantrum as Algerian coach Rabah Madjer lost his temper completely at a press conference in Algiers.

1. The top viral of the month: The monkey who presented the match ball to the referee in a J.League match. The macaque was dressed head to toe in the brightly coloured Osaka kit as he handed the match ball to the referee prior to kick-off. This story was widely used by over 120 clients.
