The first Grand Slam tournament of 2009 will see Novak Djokovic return to the scene of his one and only Grand Slam title to date. But he will face strong opposition from World Number One Rafael Nadal, who has yet to win the Australian title, and of course the three times champion Roger Federer. In the women's singles Maria Sharapova will have a tough time defending her title with the likes of Ana Ivanovic, Jelena Jankovic and the Williams sisters.
